The Nordic Arena and three other projects in the category "Tourism" got nominated for the "Innovation price" of the political economy of the Bernese Oberland.
In total 17 projects have been submitted in the category "Tourism" at the end of August 2017. One of them was the Nordic Arena Kandersteg. The administrative board of the Nordic Arena decided to apply for the "Innovation price" of the Bernese Oberland because of the sustainability and the touristic benefit that can be brought into the region.
The Nordic Arena made it to the short-list with three competitors. The "Innovation price" was awarded during the New Years aperitif of the political economy of the Bernese Oberland on Thursday, 11. January in Interlaken.
In the end, it was the team of HotPot Brienz who won the prize. Kari Bieri, president of the administrative board of the Nordic Arena is proud, that the Nordic Arena made it into the top 4 and is excited about all the positif feedbacks.
