The major competition series for young Swiss talent in the Nordic disciplines: The Helvetia Nordic Trophy introduces young people between the ages of six and 16 to the fascination of cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined with fun and games.
In addition to the Helvetia Nordic Trophy, the relay competition in the Nordic combined for young Swiss athletes will be held for the third time. The new event format was introduced in 2022 in honour of the 80th birthday of former Federal Councillor Adolf Ogi.
Each team consists of 4 athletes from the same national ski club or regional ski association and must first complete a jump over one of the two medium-sized hills before the decision is made in a relay race over a 500 metre course.
The winning team receives a Challenge Cup as well as a financial contribution to the ski club's or regional association's budget, sponsored by the ‘Freude herrscht’ foundation, for the top three finishers.
