Let’s celebrate together

On 1 August, the Nordic Arena Kandersteg celebrates its 10th anniversary with a varied programme for young and old. Visitors can look forward to a day full of activity, encounters and special moments.

1. August Brunch

We warmly invite you to start the Swiss National Day with a cosy brunch at the Nordic Arena. Accompanied by traditional live folk music from a Beo-Stubete, a festive and welcoming atmosphere for young and old awaits you.

The cost for the 1 August brunch is CHF 29.00 for adults and
CHF 19.00 for children aged 4 to 12. Children under 4 enjoy the brunch free of charge.

Afternoon programme

From13:00 onwards, visitors can look forward to a varied programme for young and old with a wide range of experiences and encounters.

A market with selected exhibitors from the region and beyond invites guests to discover local products and offers. The programme is complemented by food and drinks as well as an attractive children’s programme with a bouncy castle.
Active guests can try ski jumping themselves during introductory sessions guided by the Ski Club Kandersteg and our special guest «Eddie the Eagle». Mountain Tubing will also be open to everyone interested in giving it a try.

At 14:30 a panel discussion entitled «Höhenflüge & Leidenschaft – wir feiern 10 Jahre Nordic Arena» will bring together personalities who have shaped the Nordic Arena over the years. The event offers reflections on the past, insights into the present and a look ahead to the future development of the facility. The discussion will take place in the festival area.
At 15:30 Uhr visitors will have the opportunity to meet the guests during an autograph session.
